Weirdness: Penguin becomes a 'Sir'

"A penguin which was previously made Colonel-in-Chief of the Norwegian Army has been knighted at Edinburgh Zoo."

It's somehow not surprising that the penguin Nils Olav made it all the way to the rank of Colonel-in-Chief in the Norwegian Army, nor that he's been knighted. What's surprising here is that the link is from BBC, which I up to 15 minutes ago considered a serious source for serious news.

The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers

It's not like the show wasn't cool as it was, high production value, special effects, robots, morphing and transforming, awesomely choreographed fight scenes and last but not least a kick ass metal theme song! Do I need to go on? But for some reason this French version of the morphing sequence makes things ten times more awesome. It's like the rangers went to college and came back smarter and more cultural than ever. They sound like they could tell you if a wine was bad or not just by smelling it, blindfolded and under attack from evil.
