The Best Night of Our Lives!
So the weekend is once again over and with it the Mercè 09 festival. This is ( for does who don't know ) a street festival with free concerts from some pretty big acts playing around Barcelona, and as usual it sucked balls. Crowded streets, drunk teenagers gone bat shit and bad sound all around.
The Friday was ok with The Go! Team playing at Plaza Real. We also went out to Forum to check out our buddy Hector and his friends thug it up a notch with their fixed gear bikes on stage at the 7 Notas 7 Colores concert, which meant we had to wrestle our way home on the metro at 5 in the morning. So in other words the Saturday started out with a "stay in and do nothing" mentality.
The Saturday night started out with watching the Barça game in Gracia with Hector, Madde and Albin at this bar Hector had been talking about with 1 euro beers. So naturally the "stay in and do nothing" mentality quickly changed to "hey why not" when Hector suggested we go hang out in Born where his friend Oliver from 7 Notas 7 Colores was DJing. Well at the place Pedro, Mackan and Vanessa showed up and the whole Equally Foolish crew was united. Soon the mood went from "hey why not" to "this could be something", and the rest ladies and gentlemen was a night for the history books!
To our surprise non other than Tony Touch a.k.a Tony Toca was also there since he had Dj'd for 7 Notas 7 Colores the night before, and beat after beat and song after song was laid down. I think they played every tune we could ever wish for and the mood went straight up to "I can't handle this no more" which in it's turn meant an invasion of the dancefloor.
You know when your expecting something to stop just because you think it cant get any better? Well this beast would not be stopped! Well after 3 a clock when they normally close the place and people had left, the beast transformed it self into a private gig with Oliver a.k.a Mucho Muchacho doing some freestyling on the headphones and Toca at the tables, and when they played the song which I have posted, we all went into "fainting like a lady in a classic movie" mode and I personally felt like I was 15 again.
The morning after I didn't wake up with a hangover, but with a smile on my face going from one ear too the other! Thank you Hector, Mucho and Toca for the best freakin night ever!

Albin Goes B.I.G
Yes indeed! Our own Albin Holmqvist has done it again. This time he and his mates over at barcelonian super studio Vasava got to do t-shirts for non other than Jay-Z! Released with the his new album The Blueprint 3, Albin stands for the Death Of Auto Tune t-shirt. His latest period of success may be an explanation to why he's on the lazy side of posting (to say the least.) here on The Equally Foolish. Anyway, check out his website for more sweet sweet stuff!

The Real Life Bloodsport
I was watching the 1988 movie Bloodsport on TV last night, and to my surprise the freaking story is actually based on a real fighter named Frank Dux. Although he didn't have Jean-Claude Van Damme's ridicules accent, he did participate and win a secretly held underground full contact mixed martial arts tournament called "Kumite" by beating the living crap out of the ruling champion Chong Li, visously portraid by Bolo Yeung, the dude with the thorax that puts the porn industry to shame.
Here's two clips, one where Mr. Dux takes his fury out on a Jack Daniels bottle, two champagne bottles and finally topping it of with putting his fist trough a layer of goddamn bulletproof glass! The second clip is an interview he did in 2008 where he talks about his career and how he breaks stuff. Enjoy.

GPS Beatmap
Ladies & gentlemen, they did it! Imagine turning your car, boat or even airplane into a freakin beat machine. I'm sorry Kitt, you just got you're ass served to you by a rusty Ford! Personally I'm waiting for the Iphone app as I can't afford any of the transportation modes mentioned above.

Billy Mays R.I.P
As long as we seem to be into some kind of infomercial frenzy here, I wanted to take the chance to honor Billy " The Beard " Mays who passed away recently. The man with the heftiest beard in info-business and with a voice so loud you might think he marketed the hearing impaired will be missed.
